When my son imported his '04 R32, one of the first things he did was change the miles to Kms using a friend's Vag-Com. I don't see why it would be any different for an Audi.

Well, I thought so too but my Audi indy guy says the '04 has a USA specific instrument cluster and it's not VAG-commable. He gave it a go but no dice.

My 2002 996 can be changed over at will using the normal trip computer so I was very surprised to find out the Audi couldn't be done at all, especially since the temperatures are easy to switch.

Wierd, but like I say - please prove me wrong!

My son told me that his friend had quite a bit of difficulty doing the switch because for the '04's the VAG-com interface is just numbers (codes for each procedure) whereas for the later years, VAG-com supplies actual sentences not just procedure codes. Am I making any sense? So, your indy guy might hav been put off by the non-intuitive interface for the '04's?
