for my wife's Suburban Z71. She wants one of the new style Suburban LTZs or Denali XL - I checked those out first, but the price is now in the $50K+ range for those vehicles. I told her we are going to take a hard look at the MB RL and the Q7 at those prices.
I haven't gone to the MB dealer yet, but the audi dealer had a new Q7 available. It looks good in person. It was sitting right next to a Cayenne and was much larger. The interior is very nice (as expected). It seats 7 with room in the back (about as much as an X5). We have 3 kids and the one disappointment was the rear seat goes in at center so it really takes away from that seating position - you could not put a rear facing car seat there. Thats really poor design. The rear seat should have been a bench seat. The rear leg room is excellent.
Overall better than expected, but not a huge wow. Much better than our Suburban. We shall see....
