Child car seats revisited

Well, not necessarily...
most infant seats have a level indicator for proper positioning. You do not want it reclined so far that in the case of a front-end collision the baby will be launched forward out of the seat, or totally relying on the shoulder straps.
A proper infant seat in the rearward facing position will be about 45 degree angle for the backrest, easily measured using a book or piece of paper held against the backrest.
Of course, it would really be best to have your local police of fire department conduct a safety check on your seat install. My local police have a seat safety specialist who you can see (by appointment) to have your baby seats checked for proper intstallation.

LATCH INSTALLTION by AUdi
Well here's what happend when I called Audi today to have them install the latch at no charge. They told me that they do not do this and that I would have to pay for the part and the installation.
I told them that they pride them selves on safety and then dont install a child safety latch for kids? The guy said well at this time they dont have any complaints or advisorys.
Great! I cant belive a car manufacturer would sell cars and not car about child safety.

Here is the number for Audi Customer Care....1-800-822-2834...they
were standard on all allroads they simply didn't get all of them put in at the factory is what was explained to me when I called them. I would call them and then have them call your dealer...you are getting bs from someone.

This is wrong. I had it done on two cars. Problem is that cars in need are 5 or more yrs old, and
the phone rep has not worked at AoA long enough to even know cars did not all come that way from the plant. Seriously, call a really big dealership anywhere and get confirmation. The folks at your local store might never have seen this, either, if it's anything like my local store where turnover at all levels means average tenure appears to be 11 months!
I can shoot you a service write up if it helps showing n/c - but then, it was done during the original 4/50 factory warranty, too.

Re: Child car seats revisited
I am using the middle position and using the inside latch hook from both sides . This works great except for rear seat passengers trying to buckle their seat belts .
