how about a class action for torque converters, transmissions, cv joints, instrument display modules and everything else that an implied warranty would cover that fails at 50k miles? that'd be cool...

LOL... one for the the air springs would be decent. I've been thru 4 already.
Just send a length of weed-wacker string down the drain holes...viola; you're good. Don't use air...

What's the problem with the sunroof? Based on all(over)road's response, it sounds like clogged sunroof drain(s). Not sure how successful a class action would be there. I've never owned a car with a factory sunroof that hasn't had a sunroff drain clog at least once.
All(over)road: why do you advise against using air? I've always blasted my drains out with a compressor without any issues, but am interested to hear if there is something different about the Audi drains that I should know about?

Yes, the claim and updated service reminder are for water damage due to clogged drains on either side of the front of the sunroof.
Forced air 'may' dislodge the tube/connection at the bottom of the drain near the door jamb, making it worse....an Audi tech told me this. It happens alot (more) on VWs I've heard. I've actually seen a few VWs with wet carpets at my buds dealership...usually its the clogged sunroof drains.
Owners got letters in the mail starting sometime in May...my RS6 got the same letter too. There's a form to fill out if you did have damage...not sure how or if one would get totally or partially re-imbursed for damage though.

Good info, thanks.
Most of the clogs I've experienced have been the result of pollen & other debris clogging the drain up in the sunroof itself, and usually causes h2o to drib down the A-Pillar. Hopefully I don't have a problem, but I'll definitely think twice about using a compresser based on the info you've provided.

Open your sunroof, at each front corner there is a small straw-sized rubber drain holes...the drain tube runs down the A-pillar. I think the Bentley service CD has a diagram of it too...if you have one.
Yes, def. mostly pollen, dust and small tree debris is what my 2 Audis accumulate here in CT.
Yep, a couple more drain ports in the corners under the cowl where the battery is, one right under the battery also.
