Default Cleaning the allroad..buying a high pressure washer

What is the best "electric" high pressure washer? I looked at a karcher, Husky, Campbell housfeld. What features are usefull? I want to clean cars and use it around the house. I do not want a gasoline powered one.

thanks

Default Whatever has a decent warranty.

I had one for a short time - don't recall the brand. My bro had bought it for doing his boat and camper, but found it inadequate.

I thought it was good for cleaning the deck (not too high pressure to damage the wood), but the electric motor smoked one day when I washed two cars back-to-back. Into the trash can it went...

Default Re: I've had an electric one for a number of years, Campbell

Electric is not going to work as well as gas powered. The psi is decent but gpm is low. I live in the city so the electric was a better choice for noise. Get really tried of the electric cord. But it has served the purpose for a number of years. Just ordered a new wand for it. I would also recommend one that pulls the soap from a separate container not from an internal reservoir, difficult to change types of soaps. Does a nice job during spring cleanup of the undercarriage.

Default I picked up a Gas Karcher at Costco a couple of weeks ago. really liking it so far.

I liked the price/power ratio. also seemed well constructed, quality nozzles and gun. if you are going to use it on the car, make sure it will feed detergent, and that it has a low preassure nozzle as well.

IMO, I would never use one on a car.

Always hand wash your baby - powerwash is bad for paintwork

Think I'd rather just save the $$ and spend $2.25 at the local car wash to clean the undercarriage.
