Default Clunking noise over bumps or holes

Has anyone figure out what causing the clunking noise when going over bumps or holes? It usually happens when driving at low speed.
I've search the forum, but no one seems to solve that problem.
Help. I'm tired of that thing.

Default It's either the belly pan, or the cover over the battery, internal air filter.

I'm leaning toward the cover on top in the engine compartment since that is the one I've seen talked about before, there are small pieces of stick on tape which is suppose to keep the plastic from rubbing on other plastic that get torn/moved when taking the panel off.

That is if it's the noise that sounds like you are crumbling a potato chip bag, if your noise is different you need to describe it better.

I think I should say Knocking noise instead. I'm sure it has to do with the suspension or control arms. sometimes I hear the noise almost coming from the dashboard. I was thinking maybe the upper arms? I had changed them about 20,000 miles ago. I bought it them from one of those audi parts online. Maybe Genuine Audi parts.

could be the lowers or control arm bushings as well.

Default Low speed knock on bumps...

I had the same problem. Dealer determined it was an inner CV joint, and replaced both under warranty. The problem was solved.

I go with the perrenial favorite tie rod ends, especially if on very slow speed turns.

Default Did you ever find resolution?

I just noticed that mine is making a Thump, or a knock, or a klunk, under the front passenger seat when going over changes in the road height like traintracks, or bumpy roads between 20 and 30 mph. One of my passengers in the back right seat said she could feel it under her feet.

Is the sound a "Click, Clack" when going over a bump or uneven road?
