Default Mintex pads squeel, offset by their excellent feel and better than stock grip.

That is their great drawback, that and as a race pad, they fade under real hard use.

Default Thx...I was doing this a very stop gap and the vibration occurred before the tire was replaced but

could also have been caused by the tire that was there going bad...I think I am going to put new shoes all around and hope everything is better at that point...except I will probably still squeal...but at least I will stop

Default Well if you're getting vibes and noises the outer joints are trash.

And I have never seen a failed inner on ANY car, unless it was BAJA'ed. If they were still good I would have said do both boots 'cause you're there.(if it were my car). I tell my customers unless the joints are bad only replace the outer boot. Otherwise replace the shaft, pricewise it works out close, taking into account labor. (not talking about OEM shafts on this car which are like 800 a pop.) FOr you, see whats available localy, in outer joints and just replace them. May not be an option, but a lot of jobbers now have entire shafts for low prices, again not nessacerily talking about this car. Last resort would be OEM.

After they are mounted check for runout, i.e. "roundness"

Default OK, outer boots aren't cracked through, but creases are pretty deep, & I figure any day I will

have a leak for grease to escape, or water to get in. I saw the cracks when putting snows on.

On the bright side I won't have to worry about the race issue

Default I didn't...indy put them on as replacement for the OEM others that didn't stop the car...so I chose

stopping as a first priority...this has been an ongoing issue since they first put the brakes on about 9 months ago...I think you have to be really smart and have a good indy, really good at fixing stuff and have good suppliers or really rich with a backup car and plenty of time to kill....I have learned a great deal since I started "hanging out" here but it was in many instances too late smart...

Default Page 311 "Technical Data" Capacities: 7.3q for 2.7L, 8.9q for 4.2L

That is what the Owners's Manual MY2004 says.

When I do an oil/filter change, I put 6q in, let it warm up and then add some more to the fill line. I've never had to put more than 7q back in.

Default If brakes pads bother you too much, they are really simple to change, tech link provided is a girls.
