Default Correct tire pressure for 02 Allroad...

Hey guys,
What should I be running for tire pressure on my 02 Allroad? I'm just daily driving so I don't need it soft for better traction. Does anyone have OEM specs? Thanks.

Mike

OEM specs should be on a sticker on the inside of the gas filler flap.

Default Just walked outside to check

The sticker is on the door frame of rear passenger. For speeds over 100mph, it says lightly loaded should be 32/32 and highly loaded max pressure of 39/42. I typically like my pressures on the higher side, so I think 32/32 is a bit squishy. Higher pressures will also help fuel mileage slightly. These things can use all the help they can get in that department. The allroad is a heavy car, so I would lean higher rather than less.

Default Anything lower than 35psi and mine sags pitifully in the bends <more>

I keep the Contis on my '04 around 38-39psi, which I feel provides a good combination of tire stiffness and ride comfort.

Keep in mind, however, that tire pressure is dictated (within the boundaries of OEM suggested pressure range) as much by personal preference as it is by tire brand and construction.

Default I run 40F 38R on 17" OEM wheels & 44 max-psi a/s tires.

With the 51 max-psi Ziex 512s, 40 psi wasn't enough for proper tire wear. So, it depends on the tire-wheel combination. As well as your preferances & driving habits.

Default Rear passenger is US specs (too low), driver door panel, Euro specs is right for many US tires/ride

I think my Kumho's ride better around 41, as Ex-Pz recommended (all the same psi around, my old ran better with the Euro spec pressures)....I really don't like the Kumho's anyways as they are either too squishy if underfilled or too hard if I put more air in, so I really agree that within tolerances it is a road/ride/tire/preference thing.

40-42 all around works for me. I like the Kumhos. More betta than Falken or Goodyear.

Default Otay on dry...moderate in rain...lousy in snow/ice...my Republic Enterprise nonsexy tire were better

all around...almost tracked this thing just to wear out the tires, but was worried that my allowance wouldn't cover new ones
