CPO + service interval - need suggestions from ar owners
I am not new to Audi products, however I am new to the allroad community. I purchased a CPO car, at the time of purchase it had 57,000km (35.6K miles). They performed the inspection and I have the service records. The last service was done at 55,000km (34.3K miles). The car now has 61,000km (38.1K miles) and the computer indicates service in 700km (437miles).
I find that kind of odd, I was expecting the service around 70,000km. I am not going to take it to the Audi dealer, I will have my expert resident VW/Audi mechanic handle the service.
Question: Do I tell him to do the 70,000km (44K miles) inspection? Basically oil/filters and general check-up. Anything else?
Thank you.

Sounds like you shouldn't get any service at all for another few thousand miles, if only < 4k
miles have elapsed since last service.
My personal rule is: always go by mileage, not by what the service indicator tells you (even on cars like BMWs with "smart" service indicators).

Display has nothing to do with actual service needed...
Just set to go off every x,000 miles. If they service the car and forget to reset it, it just continues to go off at the same interval. It is not triggered by any kind of warning that something is performing improperly.

Re: Follow this...
I checked the link and it does not match up with the A6 allroad provided with the car. In your link it says 80,000km, whereas on mine it mentions 70,000km. ???

Then do as others below say +
because, service shops sometimes forget to reset the service indicator.
It also never fails if you check stuff yourself - like if the oil is really dirty and thick, it means it should be changed.
And if anything is broken or wobbly, then it's time for service.
Time is also of consideration; some people don't drive much, but it's time for a service anyways.
I just did the 85k km seervice even though I only have 78k km...don't have time to run around, and would have to do it anyways, so did it while I was off on vacation.

Well +
I'm not sure he should do nothing, because the car is CPO, and if a problem arises down the road, the dealer might just say, "Well, screw you, the light told you to have a service done, and you didn't"!
I normally don't wait for warnings to pop-up, but if they do, I take it in.

could be time elapsed too...
When I bought mine, the dealer had just done the 45k mile service at 44k miles... now one year later, I am at only 52-53k miles and the service indicator light is on for the 55k mile service. In the maintenance manual it says service at "55k miles or 1 year after last service, whichever occurs first"
