Default The Curse of the Washer Fluid Warning Light

Is there a way to disable this thing? One would think with all the great mods created that someone has figured out how to silence this petulant alarm. It is soooooooooo annoying.

Default I posted the easy $0.99 mute modification in 2003:

Default First time it came on it scared me to death...I thought the wheels must be about to fall

off...sometimes I carry some washer fluid with just in case...I agree it is annoying, but so is not having any to wash off the headlights

Default I agree completely. I will look into it.

I think my passenger headlamp washer leaks a large amount of fluid, so the buzzer and indicator come on very frequently for me. It is one of my biggest pet peeves about this otherwise-wonderful vehicle. (I used to notice blue puddles under the bumper in the summer. Vag-Cat doesn't list a part number for the washer, Bentley doesn't explain how to replace it. I'm hesitant.)

Anyhow, it seems to come on when the fluid drops to 50%, which is a bit early in my book. Usually it just stays on, and my friends have affectionately referred to it as the Sperm Whale. Because we're young like that.

One of these days when I get some time I'm going to look into it, and see if the sensor can be modified somehow. I'll let you know more when I know more.

Doesn't stop the deafening alarm though, hence my tendency to travel with washer fluid
