Default CV boots covered by CPO or not?

dealer is saying no and I'm told 2 will cost 787 via dealer.

any truth to this?

Default Not covered, considered wear and tear item (although a lucky few had them covered)...

...have an indy shop do it for MUCH less, probably close to half price what you got quoted there by your dealer.

Default if the joint blew and damaged the boot.. then its covered.

by itself N/G.

Default the C/V joint would have lots of missing bearings and

you would not be able to drive.

Default Mine was not. Until ......

I took my car in for shaking in the drive train under acceleration and a passenger side (Outer) CV boot while under CPO. They did replace the Prop shaft seal I was unaware had begun to leak but charged for the CV Boot. They stated they did not thing the vibration was significant and replaced the CV boot and Prop seal. One of two covered isn't bad. A week later I was back in with the same CV boot exploded. It turned out to be a failure of the passenger side axle. It was replaced no Q's asked and no $50 CPO fee with the use of a loaner A8. Thanks Audi of Mission Viejo.
