The vent that is supposed to defog the passenger side window has started making a pretty annoying rattle. This is the vent that is in the corner, on the upper side of the dash, with a little slider that goes from '0' to '|'.

It is the little slider that's kinda loose and making the rattle, it rattles in both the open and closed positions, but not half way in-between!

If I place my hand on the little slider the rattle disappears.

Before I try to shim something in there and make a mess I thought I would ask for suggestions...

Have any other ARs developed this rattle?

It's just a light ticking sounds, but it's pretty high pitch and I find it really annoying. My passengers can barely hear it and think I'm OCD, oh well...
