Down 2qts oil in first 4800mi - should I be worried?

Down 2qts oil in first 4800mi - should I be worried?
I'm assuming it was full when I picked it up at the dealer - regretting now that I didn't check it then. Took 2 full quarts to bring it to a good level. Could have been disastrous if I waited for the first '02 oil change at 10K!

Re: Y'know, the fact that I've heard this so much...
i haven't used any oil period in the first 7500 miles and i check oil level frequently because people on board said their car used oil.(i changed oil at 5000 mile)

I was using around 1 qt /1500 miles in the S4. Dealer told me it was normal...
After they changed the head (during my turbo melt down - long story) my oil consumption has been minimual (about a qt/3000 miles). Hmmm...
I just out a 1/2 qt in the allroad at 1700 miles.

I am almost afraid to say this
but I never use oil. At 36,000 my engine is so tight that even though I'm using mobil one now I hardly bother to crack open the hood. I broke it in very carefully not changing oil until I was sure the rings were seated and only changed to Mobil 1 at 10,000 miles.
