I've posted this query over at audizine but nobody's offered much. I figured I'd try here as well.
My driver's mirror seems to have a gremlin in the retraction/folding mechanism (see video). Comparing with the passenger side mirror, the driver's mirror seems to be seated well in the ridge, but the ridge carries the mirror too far forward. No strange noises, grinding, etc... It is as if the motor just isn't stopping at the correct spot. Can this be adjusted somehow?
Does, anyone know if I should be disassembling the mirror housing or the interior door card to access the retraction mechanism?
