Dunlop M3 Winter : First Impressions

We've just received our first snowfall here in the Anchorage area. After an 1:30 of dodging unprepared drivers, I can offer the following impressions of the Dunlop M3 (16" mounted on Italia wheels).
Acceleration Traction: B+
ESP and traction control does kick in to lend a hand during heavy acceleration.
Braking Traction: B
It's not perfect, but the compromise for use on dry pavement is not a bad thing.
Lateral Traction: B
Not bad. That's about all I can say.
General observations:
While the M3 is not considered as single purpose as Blizzaks, studded or other brands - I am pleased with the Dunlop M3 so far. The ride is smooth and the handling is decent on dry pavement. Even a "snow tire" rides nicer than the stock allroad tires supplied by Goodyear.
Will I buy these again, or for another car?
Likely, but it is a little premature for me to give a 100% endorsement.
The "B" ratings should not be viewed as a negative. These ratings are based primarily on their winter performance. If I were to rate the M3 for their ability to be a nice dry and snow tire vs. a winter only tire solution - I would give the M3s an "A". The compromise is almost a perfect balance.

i just put on my new m-3s yesterday i was surprised and how well they handled on dry and wet pavement. i know in snow they are gonna be excellent as the tread pattern is so much more aggressive than the michelin winter 210's
i used to change my tires in winter and then back in summer but im gonna leave the dunlaps on all year.
this is my third winter in my 01 allroad
45k on it and never one problem with it except a squeaky window in the heat. im about to buy an extended warranty on it as i decided to keep it when the lease is up.
