Default During pressure test leaking at N205 cam adjustment valve

PCV removed and oil cap off so I don't think it is crankcase pressure. It is not leaking at the turbo. Leaking much higher up on the engine right where the N205 is mounted to the valve cover. Is this something to be concerned with or is this just another kind of non-intake path pressure that is only a problem during a artificial pressure test.

I would almost say that it is leaking at the valve cover gastket, but why would there be pressure inside the valve cover and not inside the crankcase?

borrowed pic to show location of N205. Disregard green circle.

Default That's a common leaking point, could be where you oil leak running down tranny is coming from. I

have heard people complain of smelling oil inside car with that type of oil leak.

Default If any significant amt leaked out of there it would hit the turbo or heat shield

That certainly would cause a smell. My leak is probably so small that it isn't leaking enough to cause the small or dripping on driveway. I am probably going to let it ride until I go stage 3 if it doesn't get worse.

Did you do the cam seals when you did your TB?

Default I know my rear is leaking. I am planning on doing the

seals when I do the TB. Seems like a good time.

Default "The allroad forum no-warranty-guinea-pig experiment nears its end:"

Are you getting rid of your AR?

Default No. The experiment was to determine if I would have been better off buying an extended warranty

to cover me from 50K to 100K miles. The experiment ends only because I am about to hit 100K and the final tally can be taken to compare cost. The allroad isn't going anywhere. In fact, I'm just starting to get serious about taking it to the next level.

Default just had mine fixed

I found suspicious oil trails near the turbo and paniced. Had a friend at a shop do a uv dye in the oil and then inspect under a blacklight. Found the leak to be coming form the cam tensioners and the valve cover gasket. Replaced both.
