Default Early End of Allroad Lease (Audi Buyback)

Hi. I have a 2001 Audi Allroad under a lease program. It was $0 down, Audi made first payment, etc. The lease is for 48 months and the cost is $600/mo. I have 16 more payments remaining. Under the 4/50k warranty plan I am now nearing the 50k point. I talked with my dealership about a buy back and purchase. They said they would buy back the car for the residual value of $31,500. I could then purchase the car for $31,500 under their 'pre-owned' car deal which would provide me additional warranty coverage (100k/6 years) of which, deducting the current mileage I would have another 50k of warranty coverage. The cost quoted to buy the car under the Audi deal would be at 2.99% financing for 60 months for about $600/mo.
Would you venture into this type of deal or just let the present Audi lease run its life and start over again?
I plan to talk with Audi again to see about some extension of warranty for the remainder of the lease term.
Thanks, Steve
