don't think they are unless u plan on redoing your wiring harness, which looks like a PITA.

They are dimensionally the same size and swappable. However, you can not effortlessly make a symphony I car run a symphony II without some recoding/hacking. As a retailer I cannot sell you a symphony II for your I car because they are NOT direct swappable units. I have to recommend that you use a Symphony I if you already have a I.
