Last night my car decided to freak out on me. The headlight switch lights were going in and out of power, and when the drivers door was opened, the dome light comes on and off. The dome light only does this when the drivers door is open, but the headlight switch lights are partially out all the time. It seems like they are related because when the dome comes on and off, the switch dims slightly.

Any Ideas?

See dealer for recall of headlight switch wiring harness. Just had mine done (free).

....and I've been trying to figure out exactly why. All the other doors turn on the interior lights and bring up a graphic on teh display between the gauges, which seems normal.

Opening the driver door just does teh following:
- dome lights if ignition is on, blinking if off
- no graphic
- no chimes (seems like there should be if the headlights are on or something, yes?)

I've been told this might be the latch, but it seems odd to me since opening the door is triggering a response, seemingly indicating that the switch is working. It's just not the right response.

Let me know if you find anything, and I'll do the same.
