Default Engine Block Plug...

As many of you may recall, several weeks ago I was battling a cam position fault. It turned out to be the timing was slightly off. Apparently an unknown object got between the belt and the rollers/sprockets damaging the belt and causing it to skip a tooth or more.

During the troubleshooting process, the dealer removed an engine block plug on the drivers side of the engine. I assume to check an timing alignment mark (~shrug~).

Does oil come out of this hole when the plug is removed?

I assume not since it's above the oil pan(s). Can anybody confirm?

I usually send oil samples to Blackstone, and want to be sure they did not drain/add any oil as this would skew the test results.

Thanks!

Gavin
