hey all. Today after work, i went to apprenticeship school at my employer's office. Immediatley after locking and walking inside, my alarm was triggered. I checked all the windows and made sure all the door were closed and locked it again. Not more than two minutes later, the alarm was going off again. This continued about three more times, before I used the motion sensor button in the drives door jam. The alarm then didn't go off.
When I got home I locked up and walked inside, again not more than a minute later the alarm went off. I then used the motion button, locked up and went inside. This time, the alarm still went off within a few minutes. Tried a couple times with the motion sensor both on and off, with no change in result. I finally left the car unlocked because its in my driveway and almost 8 o clock and didn't want to wake up any neighbors.
Anyone ever have any similar issues? It's a 2001 2.7 6 spd with 175,000 miles. Any advice or links will be helpful. thanks for your time!

Both our TT and our allroad do this periodically, although we've always had success with shutting off the motion sensor.
One of these days I'm going to connect up my VAG tool and disable the motion sensors. If you know someone with a VAG tool, see if you can get them to help.
