Default 10 minutes might be a little exaggeration...

When I did this on my B5 A4 2.8, it took me a while to locate it because it is back against the firewall and so unless you are 6'5" and know exactly what you are looking for, it can be hard to see. Also, you have to remove a few things to get to it and it helps if you have small hands to reach in there and lastly, you want to remove a little coolant first, or you will have coolant spray out when you take out the old CTS. In the end, it was pretty easy, but 10 minutes for someone's first time I think perhaps not. At $100 deductible also covering the cost of the part, if I had a place close by that could do it, I'd seriously consider it. Just takes the hassle & risk out. I almost dropped the tab that goes over the CTS and it would have been gone forever and I've had to wait until I could buy another. I did forget to relieve the pressure on the coolant and it sprayed all over. Little things like that to consider.

Default yes.. I had mine replaced. My part, no labor charge by my shop...

It sits right on top of the engine's rear in plain sight.

FYI.. Audi extended the new car waranty on this part only to 100K miles so in reallity an audi dealer would do it for free.
