EU/AU Audi Navigation Plus System
I'm thinking about front seat video entertainment for the allroad and I don't want to rip out my symphony II for a aftermarket unit. I was looking at the EU and AU Audi sites and realized the head unit comes with a 5 inch monitor. I'm not interested in the navigation at all, but I would love to use this head unit with a in-car DVD/tuner.
Do you think this is possible, any thoughts? TIA!

THat should work though you'll have problems with both radio frequencies and TV systems
Australia is PAL and Europe is both PAL and a few others. Your NTSC inputs from the US wont work unless these systems have switchable video formats.
Also, I don't think either of these units actually play DVD's they are just TV and Nav monitors ...

There is a guy on VWVortex working on that project.
There is a lot of modifying to do in order to get it to work, but it has not yet been finalized. He is working making a complete kit to sell.
