Default Re: I have a Yak Rocket

perfect for ski's, snow boards, climbing gear, not deep but long and aero. Get the bars independent so you can have a more versital system later if you want to do something else with them.

Default I have an old Thule Frontier box on standard Thule bars.

Works well enough for the 3 or 4 times a year I use it.

Default I've decided against a box for the time being....

Don't get me wrong, I wanted one in the worst way. But the problem is this - where do you put the darn thing when it's not on the car???? So I bought a waterproof cargo pouch thingy and threw it on the roof between the Thule bars and fairing and it works fine. Plus when I'm not using it, it folds down to about the size of a case of beer.

Thule sells a hoist system that you can attach to the ceiling in your garage, I set one up and I just drive my car under it, pull the ropes under the whole rack - bars and all and hoist it up to the ceiling.

Just a thought...
