Factory car-top cargo box -- how does it attach?

Factory car-top cargo box -- how does it attach?
Hi,
A while back I bought a used Audi cargo box for the roof rack of my '04 allroad. The first time I was planning to use it, however, I learned that I didn't have the hardware to mount the box to my roof rack's cross bars (also factory Audi).
For any of you who have the Audi cargo box, how is it attached? I could fabricate something if necessary, but figured I would ask here first so at least I know how it's *supposed* to work... :-)
