Default First H-Sport failure, though not the fault of the bars....

The last couple of days I've been noticing a grinding noise from the RF. So this morning, I crawled under the car to drop the belly pan and inspect.

2 issues:
First, there's still an oil leak under there and this time it's not the trans pan. looks like both oil return lines into the block. Same as when I took it in for the 50K and told them it was leaking there. Dealer said that was just "residual" from an oil change and cleaned it all up. Now wet again and dripping onto the belly pan. Back to the dealer i guess.

Second and more to the point- the right side zerk fitting on the sway bar pivot bushing is gone. Not broken off but completely ripped out of the bracket. And not only bent the bracket but folded the zerk over so far it left an indentation in the bracket! Clearly something wailed on it hard.

Now I know I didn't hit anything. And several weeks ago when I did my HP2 conversion I greased the front bars while the front end was up. So in the past 3 weeks it got broken. Only possibilities- the car was valet parked once, and I took it to a newly opened car wash in my area. Valet would have a hard time breaking it just going in and out of their parking lot, but the car wash is definitely suspect. Made the mistake of going in on modded L1 (usually use L2) and watched them drive onto the guide rails at a pretty aggressive speed.

Oh well- could have been worse. To the credit of Hotchkis, they're sending me 2 new brackets and bushings at no charge as a customer service. S**t happens I guess.

Free replacement parts. That is great.

Default Good luck getting the oil leak(s) fixed...

From your description it sounds like the exact same location mine was/is leaking. 20k-25k miles and 5-6 dealer visits later, I am still not confident it's fixed.
