Default Foggy lights

When do people with HID cars use their front fog lights?

Default another answer..

using the Fog lights as daylight driving lights, sometimes it pays off to be seen if you got the Sun in the mirror during sunset for example.....

Default More often than you think...

With my wife's A4 Avant, since I work and commute at night, I find I use the fog lights whenever it's raining, as the lights add additional illumination to a wide area immediately in front of the car, whenever it is foggy, misty, etc.

I also will use the fogs when travelling dark roads that do not have street lamps to help illuminate the road and there is oncoming traffic so you cannot use the high beams. The fogs aim low so they don't distract oncoming drivers, but they do add additional illumination over the HID lamps that can be helpful.

Default No, but there is a fuse bypass mod to do that.

Check out the AW FAQ section (might be under A6 FAQs). Friend did it on his A6, I haven't tried it yet.

Default Re: If you are looking for a bulb to closely match the Xenons

I just installed the Heon Xenonmatch bulbs. They are very close in color to the Audi Xenons. There is just a bit of blue color to them but it's not very noticeable. Same wattage as the OEM bulbs. Here is a link to their site:

http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog2.htm</a

Almost never - the factory bulbs are so weak that I see no benefit over the low beams
