Front-facing Britax Wizard baby seat

I have a Britax Wizard baby seat that I just turned from rear to front facing. It is behind the passenger seat. In my FX, the manual said to take off the back headrest to accomdate the rear tether (the connection is in the roof.)
Since the connecting point is on the back of the rear seat in the Allroad, I figured I didn't need to remove the headrest (also saw no mention of this in the manual). However, just for kicks, I removed it and realized that the car seat fit in much better without it. I figure that's probably because this car seat is so tall. Anyone else have a similar experience?

and set seat to full recline and the top of the seat should tuck underneath the headrest but it does kind of obstruct the rear view.

Same here. After removing the headrest, the wizard fits perfectly. I tried to move the headrest all the way up but the wizard is just too tall and it won't fit.

Glad to hear I'm not crazy. Without that headrest in there, it's pretty easy to get that seat to fit in rock solid. So far my daughter loves facing forward. The first time I strapped her in I could see the look on her face that said "something is different here." :-)

my visibility. And the seat fits much better. With the headrest in place and fully extended it created a blind spot for me. So it's a double safety benefit.
And I extend the front passenger seat headrest as far up as it will go without coming out of it's tracks so my daughter can see forward. She loves looking at where we're going. Hates the booster we just put in our wife's car because now she sits too low.
