My problem is painting a new, primed insert cover. Someone here mentioned
aftermarket source for a good spray paint to match without any detail, but my body shop guy says he'd have to do the whole clip to get the match perfect. Hmm.

Here's a way to mount a front plate temporarily
I came up with this a while ago. You do need the OEM plate holder to do this. No screw holes required.
