my greenie is going into the bodyshop to have some work done. The body guy is an artist when it come to this stuff and was trying to talk me into painting the bumpers and wheel arches.
In certain lights I think something was done to the car once before as the front bumper appears to be the gray instead of green. Original owner said the car was never involved in a collision, and I tend to believe him because he's a good friend of a good friend. Maybe wrong one from the factory?
Anyway... survey says? Paint them, or don't paint them?

so that sounds right. I'm not a fan of full body paint unless you are doing other exterior mods like clear corners, larger wheels and other cosmetic stuff.

that, in certain light (and when its clean
the front bumper and the fender arches look different colors.
Given its a fairly rare combo green/green/6MT I tend to stay towards original. However, if the trim isn't right, then I don't feel so bad straying from OEM.
No plans for other mods to the car. MAYBE wheels someday.

nd not the greenish grey like SKIroad'r mentions.
Maybe it was replaced by the dealer, or before your friend purchased it.

...ever looked at an AR in your rear view mirror? It looks so majestic, impressive or slightly intimidating (which some times isn't a bad thing). The dual color of the body/bumper/fender makes it really unique.
A full body paint job loses some of this character and appears more like an A6. It's a matter of taste, and we all know that shouldn't be discussed.
I'd stay OEM or put on the wide fender extensions and paint it then......

it looks so odd to me, and certainly very unallroad. It might look better if they actually painted the whole bumper instead of leaving that one strip on the front still unpainted, which just looks awful to me, did I mention I dont like it painted LOL
