gas mileage?

Its ugly...
I am averaging 18.5 mpg since delivery. This is calculated via the on-board computer, but seems to be right when compared to the pump and divide method.
It seems like I spend a lot more time at the gas pump.

I try to pretend the computer is off because of the snow tires
but really it's only off by 1%. MPG 18-19, with Yakima box 16-18. I don't mind the gas mileage since but the small gas tank really limits your range. You can't get too bent out of shape about mileage on a 48,000 dollar vehicle. Both Toyota and Honda make great mileage champs if you want to drive them. Looking at the Volvo Crosscountry the EPA mileage is comparable.

don't get me wrong - I didn't buy this car for its fuel economy
but like you said - The small tank makes me spend more time standing around at gas stations.
Oh well, I guess I can look at this as an opportunity to talk with admiring bystanders about the car.
