getting ar back today -- dealer said it was my fault
suspension buttons were inoperative because they found evidence of "liquid" being dropped on it. ?coffee from the cup holder? $288 -- non warranty. Thank you. They also diagnosed my chirping rattle as a compressor malfunction and did replace that. Getting it now. The dash switch think bugs me.

and just who put the cup holder next to the switches?
I do have to say that having it there with the air con vent blowing cold air on a soda can keeps it cold on a hot day. When my tip shifter started sticking, girlfriend fessed up that she has spiled a cola (non diet) and that was gumming up the works.

Make better Cup Holders!
I am sure you argued this one. I would have told them the cup holders are there for a reason. People drink beverages when they drive. Audi should do a better job of insulating the switches. It might get you by this one time and you know to be more careful next time.
Seriosly, why do they put the switches so close to the cup holders if they aren't able to get wet? If the car was out of warranty, they could make this argument of long term damage.

wow - even so, I can't believe they charged YOU for it.
I even was able to get Audi to replace my key fob even though I had dropped it & it broke. My argument was I should be able to drop my keys without worrying about dropping $150 on a new one!!!! I also made the point that $150 was a small price to pay when you consider I will never spend my next $50K on an Audi.
I went to 2 dealerships with this issue, 1 took it. So you might want to go that route.

Beware of lemonade in styrofoam...
Was it a styrofoam cup?
Did you know that the citric acid in lemonade (lemon in your hot tea) dissolves the styrofoam?
You could be drinking liquid polystyrene. A recipe for a nasty headache and stomach problems.
