Default Got a MIL for : 17704 - Error in Mapped Cooling System (check Temp-Sensor and Thermostat)

I have read a bit about it, looks like this error will pop-up when one of the temp sensors or thermostat reports a value thats outa-wack...

Any tips on how to view what the Temp-Sensors and/or Thermostat are reporting via Vag Com?

TIA

P.S.
I have a Bently at home, have not had a chance to consult it yet...

Our thermostat is mechanical. Group 001 field 2 is the coolant temperature.

Default how does the thermostat throw this code then? and thank you...

if the thermostat is mechanical why does the computer think it may not be working correctly?

also, is the thermostat likely at fault if my dash temp guage seems to be reading correctly?

ECU threw this code because it got an abnormal coolant temperature from the CT sensor.

Default If the display of the dash temp gauge looks normal, the CT sensor should be bad. Our CT sensor has 2

output signal, one to ECU and one to instrument cluster.

Replace engine coolant temperature sensor. Green top under pipe from airbox to y-pipe, end of story.
