Got the right front outer CV boot done - update to maintenance log done with repair #8.
I used the quick method this time of just popping the joint out of the hub and then putting the bolt back in to press the joint off without removing the axle from the car. Worked like a charm. It wasn't as easy putting the new boot on and the grease packed joint while working inside the fender, but still much quicker this way.
My pinch bolt on the upper control arms was seized which is a common problem. If you ever plan to do battle with one of these bolts soak it with PB blaster overnight and try an air chisel. It is amazing how stuck they get. If you don't destroy the bolt make sure you coat it with anit-sieze when putting it back together.
So this brings my grand total of non-warranty repairs to $491.81.
