Has anybody installed after market rear sun shades from clair?? does your window go up and down...

with no problems? was it easy to install? does it block the sun at all? thinking abbout buying them from clair...

Yes, your windows will go up and down because the retaining clips for the top of the shade mount into the door frame (you drill two small holes in the metal). You also drill two holes in the door itself on which to mount the base of the shades. You need to understand that this is a very permanent installation.
The sahdes are great for blocking the sun, and the whole effect is much nicer than those lame suction cup shades.
My three-year-old has never complained about the sun (unless it's coming in through the front windshield).

Install is not difficult, but you must be precise. Only difficulty I had was in screwing in the lock ***** - not as easy as anticipated, had to use pliers which chewed the ***** up a bit. No big deal, though, since they will never be seen again.
They don't affect the windows at all, and I run with the shade up and the window down 1-2" all the time. Window down more than that and the wind gets a bit abusive on the shade.
