Wait a sec you had the port. radio plugged in the 12v after you lock the car?

You should really get the varta (stock) battery next time. My first one lasted 6+ years and it died just because I stopped driving the AR for a while.... otherwise it would still be in the car...

Yes, a portable xm radio(roady unit) that when turned off was still drawing .3 amps from the outlet. I thought when I turned it off it wouldn't drain any power, but I was wrong. : )

I let the car sit for a week after discovering the battery drain, and the car started with no problem.

My original battery only lasted 3 years.

Default yeah don't leave anything in the outlets

our cars keep them live when locked.... my nissan frontier 2007 has auto off everything with a 10-15 min time delay.... I find it very useful since I forget to shut off the lights sometimes

Yeah, I've seen quite a few new cars that kill the outlets when you turn off the ignition. I wonder how many electrical components are out there that "vampire" current when turned off for cars. I knew there were things in the house, but didn't think there would be stuff used for cars that did it.

The allroad will shut off the interior lights if you forget to turn them off(I have), I've never left the exterior parking lights on though. : )
