I don't think I would change a thing.

Just did a DIY pivot point relocation and added the zip tie to tension the socket and some fresh grease.

Maybe it is due to driving the '87 4Runner for 6 months with a shifter that feels like an oar in a barrel of peanut butter.

Default You have now :) I need to get a short shifter on my Avant. Though
the 915 tranny in the 911 gets some grief from people I much prefer it over the Audi.
