After driving for about 5 to 10 minuets the amber 'Height warning' light comes on for apparent reason. The height stays at level 2 (L2) my usual prefered height and the driving seems to be unaffected.
On looking at the fault codes via Ross-Tech VCDS I find 2 faults showing.
1577 'Compressor turn off due to over temp'
This seems to happen ofter with this AR and I think it maybe a false reading but intend to investigate later on and will no doubt be a new tread on this forum.
1780 'Sensor for levelling 04.00 mechanical malfuntion'
This is a new fault for me and I do not know anything about it (yet). Does the 04.00 refer to one specific sensor, if so, which one?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Scroll to page 33 and look at G290. Seems to be the level sensor and temp cutoff together. Not sure that is your problem, but a good chance.

I dont think that G290 does both level sensing and temp together, I think it s just badly worded. The fault I'm more interested in is 1780 'Sensor for leveling 04 00 mechanical malfunction'. I think this might be refering to one of the 4 level sensors st the wheels.
