Since it seems to be temp related, it probably is the injectors - I've seen this in years past on other VW/Audi/Porsche products.......

Those vent lines are on the top of the tank, I don't know if you can see them from below or if you have to drop the tank - if so, I wouldn't do it.....

I own a 2004 allroad. There is a recall for your problems.
Check with your dealer. Also ck Voluntary Emissions Service Action 28F2/J1 Ignition Coil Inspection/Replacement.

The gas tank requires baffles to be installed.

I got that gas tank recall done back in early December.

Perhaps the recall fix didn't "take".
In December, the headlight switch recall was done on my car. Ever since then, unless the <b>headlights</b> are on, I have the headlight leveling error warning displayed. The leveling function works perfectly; but I still get the warning. As soon as a couple of other items are cleared up, it will go back to the dealer to be sorted out.

It's warm out now. I'm chaulking it up to the injector(s). Going on a 1050mile road trip this weekend, so we'll see if I get stranded anywhere.
