Looking to source the 13 to 4 pin dongle to convert the end of my allroads wiring harness for my Euro OEM trailer hitch to the std. flat 4-pin North American trailer electrical connection from the standard European 12 pin connection. allroadfaq had the part number: ZAW808003. Only problem is that the part has been discontinued according to Genuine Audi Parts. Any help please?
from allroadfaq.com:
"Q.If I order an EU hitch, is there anything else I need?
A. You will also need the 12 to 4 pin dongle to convert the end of your cars wiring harness to the std. flat 4-pin trailer electrical connection. (there is nothing wiring related included with the EU hitches.) Cheapest place to get this is genuineaudiparts.com. Part number ZAW808003. If you can not find it on their site give them a call and tell them the part number."

are you speaking to Rich at EuroHitch? He might be able to help you - but honestly, I ordered the Bosal hitch a year ago and I'm still missing parts - so I'm just giving up and buying a Q7 to get the damn hitch!

call Rich at EuroHitch in California - if he can't help he can probably suggest someone - and I remember reading on the forum some time back about someone else sorta rigging/splicing one together - maybe you can search for this post - also, call your local Audi tech and ask them to help locate one .. just curious, what are the other "group buyers" doing to solve this?

and they had one there they sold me for like $25. I think CAP, ADAP, NAPA would have something too, but you may have to follow a color chart to wire correctly

Does the harness with part number ZAW808003 allow the connector on the car to work with the parking sensors on prewired cars, or is this part used for non-prewired cars?
I have a 2002 and is all prewired, but not sure if I could just find a straight 13 pin adapter to convert to 4 pin, or do I also need the part listed above?
I also have parking sensors and wonder if this same part disables the sensors or would the be disconnected with a straight adapter?
Thanks....sorry search isn't working.
