Default Hey Guys, Thinking of buying an allroad. k04 advice? 0-60 times?

New to this forum, looking to get a 6spd allroad...I am familiar with s4's times, but need some allroad comparisons....

I've searched for a while to find different data... Please help!

1) Stage 1 2.7 Allroad- Giac Chip... 0-60? 1/4?
2) Stage 3 AWE/ Similar k04 kit... 0-60? 1/4?
3) Stage 3+ k04/k16/k24 Hybrid.... 0-60? 1/4?

How do these stages compare to s4 stage times? I know the weight here is an issue...

Im guessing a stage 3+ allroad is about = to a stage 3 s4?

I KNOW ITS NOT A DRAG CAR, ITS AN ALLROAD. ASKING TIMES FOR POWER COMPARISON, 0-60 IS WHAT I UNDERSTAND BEST!

Thanks So much!

Default Why bother?

Those measurements have absolutely no relevance in the real world. What counts are times from 5 - 50, or from 50 - 70. Much more meaningful.

But if you're drag racing, why bother with an allroad? I can't imagine it would be anyone's first choice.

Default fugedaboudit... apples and oranges...

granted.. the cars have the same basic 2.7T motor. But the final drive is different.. its geared lower for the occasional semi-off road romp. The car is heavier, the supension is not up to S4 standards.. comfortable YES! Tightly sprung..No way.. not with air bags holding you up. (you can do a the "Type R McMod"...change the air struts to coilovers.)

Use it on a Track day..sure. Use it for AUTO-X.. you will be laughed at as you plow over the cones.

Drag strip? Why bother with all the weight you would have to strip out and its alot. The fenders are heavier gauge steeel than a stock Avant.

It not a sports car but a big high powered luxury wagon in the Grand Touring Sense.

Get in a drive.. blast past a BMW on the highway, amaze yourself and your freinds in the snow.. but drive the car.. then you will understand...it will never be an S4

Default I do not expect s4 handling, but I want to get accel comparison data.

I do want a high powered cruiser... With s4 power behind it, not handling.....And thats what the allroad will offer + offroad/towing benefits...

I love the 2.7t, which is why this car is the perfect one in the upgrade path...

Just not sure of the weight/power and how its acceleration differs from the s4

Default Considerably slower, heavier, and no where near as sharp in handling.

figure average 0-60 times about 7.5, thrashing it with a 6sp 6.5 maybe 6. Hey skidmark what's your 60 ft time? what's the next mark 140 ft's?? been so long I can't even remember where the lights are set up!

Default Have you Driven One? The only way to judge it is to drive.

There are very few people who have modded to the point you are after.. Skidmark is one and Allroad2001 is another.

The rest of us go with a chip or DiPP..APR/GIAC/Dahlbach, H-sports, Z Rated Summer rubber or all season and perhaps new wheels 17 or 18.

This group is not the S4 group. we are not tracking our cars on a regular basis.. as our wives may not like them this way... and our day to day drives would be effected along with the MPG which is about 20 to start with (manual)

So I think you will just have to take it for what its worth.. Great Car, great power...great fun.. just no real track data.
