Hitch Installation Time - Poll

Just dropped my '02 allroad at Carlsen in Palo Alto for the Hitch install... quoted two hours!
Wish me luck on that one.
I'll take some pics and measure the ball height for you fella's.
They are also fixing some minor issues like the tire pressure monitor not working and a loose hood latch.

let's see what they actually come up with. If you have an '01 allroad that would explain it... as they were not "pre-wired" as are the '02's. I did some checking and an install for the '01 is very extensive.
They quoted me 7-8 hours over the phone and when I dropped it off I was told they phone quote worst case. I'll be getting back my car tomorrow so we will see how much and how it turns out.
and yes the estimate is in writing...

....as the car is an '03-to-be. I talked to the salesman and complained about the discrepency between 2 hour and 8 hour quotes. At least he agreed that I could probably do it myself in 8 hours. We'll see what happens.

I have found there is a lack of information from Audi on down... on a variety of issues including this hitch situation. Don't get me started on cell phones in a non-OnStar car!
Which sales rep are you dealing with?
BTW if you're a Ducati guy why haven't you posted to TrackJunkie?

Just kidding!
Between ClubDesmo and AW, I hardly have time to work! But now I'll be trolling TrackJunkie too...
Speaking of which, I think I met you at a Desmo meeting in Los Gatos a couple months back.

You may have... it's the one and only meeting I have been to. I post on that site as well... extolling nuggets of Ducati wisdom and such :-0
This whole allroad purchase was simply to tow my bikes...

Too bad it's not rated at 5000lbs here, like it is in the UK. (Not that I'm towing a few Harley's, but pulling a small race car might be nice.)
