I'm going to get a hitch for the wifey's Allroad. I'm considering the Reese product. Any other options that folks here have used.
Reese tells me it's a 2000lb capacity. I though I have seen some discussion that the vehicle has a higher limit in europe?
What can be safely towed with this vehicle?

I have the OEM hitch. US liability gives it 3500 LBS. In Europe is 4500. I've towed over 4000 at 70-80MPH with no worries.
There is a major difference in the construction and attachment with the Reese hitch and the OEM style. Look a few posts below you will see interes in haveing the OEM hitch duplicated.
