Hi y'all. I'm having a little problem with my sweety and I was wondering if it has happened to any of you. Every few weeks or so the hood on my '01 just magically pops up. Not open mind you it's just as if the internal release has been pulled (which it hasn't).

Anyone else have this happen?

I've accidentally released the hood when getting out of my car - my foot catches on the release.

This was a common issue on the subarus a few years back and maybe a similar issue. On the subaru it was caused by poor adjustment of the hood latch and cable. It would get too tight over time and then would trigger itself. perhaps if you just readjust the latch or cable to loosen it a bit, it might alleviate your problem.

there is an adjustment either on the handle end..inside the car or the latch end under the hood. But I'd go to the dealer.
