Default Hood vents: I posted a while ago looking for hood vents...

A friend of mine owns a body shop and will respray my hood for me. I'm only getting charged for the materials... so it's a great deal.

I was looking to do hood vents but, haven't really found one that doesn't look ghetto or overly compact import'ish. I wanted something subtle and OEM looking. So I looked at cars that had factory vents and I can probably get them via stealer parts counters. Of course... I don't know how much they are yet.

Give me your thoughts on these:

Both these vents are not molded or stamped into the hood.

I'm kinda leaning towards the Jag one.

Default <edit> I thought the M3 vents did have some hood forming. I too, prefer the Jag's...

I think I've said that before when you posted this )

Edit:
I suppose it could be just the pic of the M3, but it looks like there is hood forming aft of the vents. Found a closer shot (see following post)

After looking at these for a spell, I favor the M3 vents. More subtle.

Nod to the bimmer. Would prefer the molded-in look.

Default hood vent design seems to be fairly complicated, i would check out other vented hoods

so you can place the vents for proper air flow
