I am looking for an AR with a third row seat, but am concerned how long my kids will fit in it. I saw one post that said the seat was designed to fit a maximum 50" tall, 70 lb. child.
That would only give me about a year of use until my twins outgrow it. Does anyone with a 3rd row seat have a measurement of the distance from the seat to the ceiling? Thanks.

I once shoehorned a very petite sister-in-law back there. She was not comfortable.
It is really for small children. I can measure if you like. How old are the twins?

I'd say 50" child height is about right.
The seat bottom's prolly 4-6" above the empty load floor. Leg room would be a problem, too, as it sits very low to the floor driving the knees up in the air.
I only use it when we have out-of-town guests (mother-in-law, mainly). Otherwise, you're better off with a car with more room. The safety of these rear-facing seats so close to the rear bumper has also been questioned... one more reason I use it rarely.

but up until recently, you couldn't get him out of the back. He absolutely loved riding in a seat that was kid sized, and that had reading lights and a floor that he could reach while belted.
