the bumper is okay except for a bulge towards the top (like a SUV bumper smacked it) Very annoying since it is slightly left of center, etc. Anyway, do I have to replace the entire bumper or is there "play" in the cover? Any ideas of cost? Thanks guys! (still thinking about the daughter's car, Thanks for all the advice)

got hit, minor damage to the rear area. The shop, very highly recommended by other AW people in colorado, said that you can not work with the poly bumpers, they need to be replaced. The entire cost of rear with the aluminum skid plate thing, with painting and labor was almost $1200. The aluminum is about $350 or so, so if that is fine, they can reduce the price by using your old one.

I opted not to replace the bumper as i have other scratches on it from real use, and what damage was done is no worse than what was already there, but the damage was new. I told the guy that hit me to pass the good favor on to someone else.
