We would call it an "allload" as a pickemup truck. Put a dawg and a case in the back.

Default Lose the rigidity from the top off a uniframe? The answer is "chalupa"...

That's an old joke with a long backstory, and it really does refer to a uniframe vehicle we cut the top off. The joke was that after cutting the top off but before we welded a cage in (it was an already heavily modified vehicle, not the ideal platform but it wasn't a bad next step, as it were), there was this mandatory drive down the street it had to make.

I forget the reason for having to drive the thing, but we were joking that, without the roof, the vehicle would fold up like a Taco Bell chalupa. It didn't, but the nickname stuck, so I turned the plasma down to gouge and beveled the name into the rear bumper in big, block letters.

It was a fun buildup. I'm sure you'd find tons of pics if you google Chalupa. I pretty much only did some of the bends and strengthened the uniframe and suspension mounting points on one of the build days, so it's not like I had a huge piece or anything, but we did come up with the name that day.

Found a pic after my friend sold it to its present owner. It's von crazy.
