Default I searched and I'm confused -- ipod integration

I looked at various ice^link, ikits, etc. Some need wiring to the back of the head unit, otheres are not compatible with Nav. I have the MMI interface (RNS-E?) Nav unit in my 2005 ar and I dont want to screw around with that. So whats the easiest waay to listen to my Nano? And btw I could never get a card to work. :0(

Default "could never get a card to work" ? are you referring to the SD cards for the RNS-E? I believe

you can hook up the ipod integration through the CD changer input on the RNS-E unit. I am not sure since I like the SD card option myself.

Yeah -- the SD card never worked in my somewhat cptr-challenged hands. Does he integration you speak of require wiring it thru the back of the head unit? or just an easy plug in?

Default both. If the CD changer cord is still plugged into the unit, I believe you can

go off of that through the hatch or right into the back of the unit.

Default Just did this..

With Symphony 2 it is plug and play, but you need to put in several plugs in the back of head unit. RNS-E is the same I believe, that is what teddybgame explained to me.

It was more complicated than I thought. I used Audi unit, look at Icelink unit, they seem to be more user friendly.

If you have RNS-E, why not page teddybgame and ask what needs to be done for SD cards???
