I would do it... when he says e-set.. is he talking about the wiring kit? I think that's pre-installed in the '03+ cars no?

or is that something else?

I'm also looking at purchasing the Westfalia hitch. I think it <B>will</b> work.

Obviously the euro tow ball wont plug in to the US receiver, but the tow ball and the receiver work together. If you have the euro hitch crossbar and the euro towball I bet it will work fine.

Westfalia probably just says it wont work because it is not approved here or something..?

It seems to me that as long as the mounting points under the bumper are the same on euro allroads and US allroads it will work. Where the hitch crossbar mounts look very similar to me.
